MILAN - Space for the hottest trends, from the metaverse to augmented reality, up to 4.0 and digital nomads.

Travel is experiencing a phase of great changes and the next edition of the Bit International Tourism Exchange (12-14 February 2023 - Allianz MiCo-FieramilanoCity) presented today, adapts even more to create or strengthen relationships and update one's knowledge , to effectively support operators and travelers in their evolution.

"After the two years of the pandemic during which the whole sector experienced great difficulties, 2022 tells us that there is a restart but we must be absolutely ready to do better in 2023", said Tourism Minister Daniela Santanchè in the conference press, set up at the Rovati Foundation in Corso Venezia in Milan,

new museum space just opened with Etruscan finds and contemporary art works.

A non-random choice, as the CEO of Fiera Milano Luca Palermo also repeated, to underline the strong union between tourism and culture.

However, the data and forecasts make us think optimistically.

"If 2022 was the year of the restart - said the CEO of Palermo - in 2023 the forecasts for Italy are +30% of international tourism".

Numbers also confirmed by the first feedback on the next edition of the Stock Exchange, the global marketplace for Italian products, which brings together a broad representation of all supply chains under one roof, from Italian Regions to foreign Tourist Boards, from Consortia to private operators, l'hôtellerie or carriers.

Three areas Leisure, BeTech and MICE Village one

wide representation with the best of an offer ready to respond to the new needs of travellers.

If countries such as China, due to the pandemic, or Russia, due to the ongoing conflict, are missing, particularly large attendances are expected, in order, from the USA, Spain, France, Canada and Germany.

Among the other most represented markets are Poland, Brazil, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and the Netherlands.

The great attention to sustainability, which is now part of Fiera Milano's DNA, will be the leitmotif of Bit 2023 with proposals for an ever more attentive traveler, who wants to experience the destination not "as a tourist", but with the same respect and authenticity of the premises.

The big trends will be the protagonists of appointments such as Territori and Metaverso, an analysis of how the virtual experience can lead the way to the real world, or, from a slow, sustainable and naturalistic point of view.

There will also be insights into the most promising segments such as the bleisure era, the fusion of business and leisure, a hybrid travel formula that is experiencing a great revival after the pandemic.
