(ANSA) - ROME, NOVEMBER 30 - A 27-year-old man Mehran Samak was killed yesterday in Anzali, in northern Iran, by the regime's security forces.
The news rebounds on numerous Iranian Twitter accounts which claim that the man was killed while some people were on the street to celebrate the defeat of the Islamic Republic team against the USA at the World Cup.
Iranian journalist Pouria Zeraati writes that Mehran was shot in the head and later died in hospital.
The news was also reported by IranInternational, an opposition media based in London.
