and announces it via intercom to the passengers, for many of whom he was now a traveling companion.

goes in person to the carriages to say hello: but he is moved and excited and the video in which he thanks everyone and says "I have always tried to respect you, even when there have been inconveniences and breakdowns", did the around the web and received an avalanche of affectionate messages.

, my working career ends after 34 years in this company", Venditti begins in his announcement.
"I want to tell you - he adds - that I was honored to serve the citizenry and I have always tried to give the best of myself. Now I want to wish you that your wishes come true and your worries disappear. I greet you and wish you a good life".

The video was also posted on his Facebook profile by the president of Eav, Umberto de Gregorio: "thank you for your work over the years and for your extraordinary greeting message", he writes.
And among the social comments there is also the proud one of his daughter: "Work is emotion as well as sustenance and he taught us that. He taught us that work is dignity, independence, that one can be fair and consistent in carrying it out. This greeting encompasses everything that railway represented for him, from when he was proud of having won the competition and showed us his purse".
