The orange couch of the fictional café "Central Perk" in "Friends" is probably a popular photo opportunity under normal circumstances.

It's at Warner Brothers Studios in Burbank, California, where the series was filmed.

But now the actress Courteney Cox, who plays Monica Geller in the series, made »Friends« fans there very happy.

The actress published a video on her Instagram account in which she surprises her fans.

Cox hid behind the couch, a film crew lured fans there and offered them to take a picture.

As they sat unsuspectingly on the sofa, Cox appeared behind them unnoticed, so she was in the photo.

When the fans were then shown the picture taken, they turned around in surprise.

A surprised woman even burst into tears.

Cox starred in Friends with Jennifer Aniston, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer.

The six play a group of friends in New York City in their twenties.

The series ran from 1994 to 2004 and is considered one of the most successful sitcoms of all time.

It has achieved cult status and is still offered on streaming services today.

The series can currently be seen on Netflix.

Recently, Cox' colleague Matthew Perry, who plays Chandler Bing in the series, made a name for himself again.

Perry was addicted to alcohol, drugs and medication for much of his life.

He recently made his struggles with the dependencies public in a book and in interviews.
