Due to the rising prices, Kaufland and Lidl pay their employees a one-off cash bonus.
But this bonus causes criticism on the net.
Dortmund – The companies in the Schwarz Group pay all employees covered by collective agreements a one-off bonus of 250 euros.
This also includes Kaufland and Lidl.
The food retailers are making a total of 40 million euros available for their workers.
But the bonus does not go down well with everyone.

Kaufland and Lidl announced on Facebook on Friday (October 28) that they would pay a bonus of 250 euros to all employees covered by collective agreements.
Marginal employees receive a bonus of 75 euros.
Around 175,000 employees are to receive the money, reports RUHR24.
Grocery retailers are thus using the opportunity to distribute tax- and social-free special benefits to employees.
This instrument was recently made possible by the federal government.
According to the companies, the reason for the payment is the increasing costs in everyday life.
Kaufland and Lidl want to contribute to the financial relief of their employees.
A heated debate then ignited on Facebook under Kaufland's post.
With almost 1,300 comments (as of October 31), the special payment does not seem to convince every user or employee.
But what is the reason for the criticism?

Many users are particularly struck by the amount of the bonus.
Because compared to the turnover of the supermarkets, some critics consider this to be too little.
According to the Schwarz Group website, Lidl and Kaufland together generated sales of around 128.1 billion euros in 2021.
"40 million sounds a lot, but compared to the company it's almost outrageous," writes a user under the post.
But not only the amount of the so-called "inflation compensation premium" is denounced, but also the form of the distribution.
Kaufland employees receive the 250 euros in the form of a goods voucher for the retail trade themselves. Many people criticize that the company is benefiting from it again.
At Lidl, on the other hand, employees receive the one-off payment as part of their November salary.

Companies are not obliged to give employees money.
Therefore, numerous users say that every euro given is basically helping at the moment.
