The monocratic court of Rome acquitted the four people who ended up on trial for wounding a competitor of the show 'Ciao Darwin', in April 2019. The judge acquitted them with the formula "because the fact does not exist" also accepting an exception presented by defenders.
The prosecutors contested the accusation of very serious personal injuries against the four.
The competitor, 54 years old at the time of the events, was injured in a fall while playing rollers and was left paralysed.
Among others, two representatives of the Rti company, producer of the program that was broadcast on Canale 5, ended up on trial.
