With WhatsApp you can chat or call others and soon even write messages to yourself.
The Messenger service introduces the "Message Yourself" feature.
Munich – If you need to make a quick note that you shouldn't forget, then WhatsApp is a popular choice.
Many will use the app frequently in their everyday life, so a note can hardly be overlooked.
But in order to write something down, you usually have to write a private note to contacts.
The demand to message yourself is there and finally WhatsApp has heard us.
WhatsApp: Write yourself messages with a new function
WhatsApp works well as a notebook.
Whether shopping lists, small to-dos or appointments, these things remain present due to the mostly frequent use of the app.
After WhatsApp was confronted by a data theft from millions of users, there is good news again.
The messenger service announced that it would introduce the “Message Yourself” function, as reported by the
Tech Crunch
portal .
In the coming weeks, the new opportunity will be available on iPhone and Android devices.
A specific date has not yet been mentioned.

Beta testers have been able to test the function for several weeks.
With "Message Yourself" users can see their own number at the top of the WhatsApp contact list.
By clicking on your own profile, you can start chatting with yourself.
Your own chat can be pinned to the top of the chat list so that all information and notes are easy to find.

WhatsApp tricks: You can already write to yourself
Chatting with yourself is already possible via detours.
The self-chat can be called up
with the URL "
wa.me ".
With the desktop version of WhatsApp, the chat with yourself then appears. The idea of saving your own number as a contact comes from the “Trick 17” series.
This allows you to search for your own contact on WhatsApp like anyone else and start the chat.
A group with only one participant (yourself) is also possible.
