(ANSA) - BEIRUT, DECEMBER 01 - The alleged leader of Isis, Abu Hassan al Hashimi, was blown up with an explosive belt in southern Syria near the border with Jordan, declared dead in the last few hours by a statement from the same jihadist organization and confirmed by USA.


    According to pan-Arab media, citing former militants from the southern Syrian region of Daraa, Hashimi blew himself up along with one of his two bodyguards in the town of Jassem, near the border with Jordan, a few weeks ago, during clashes with local forces , co-opted by the Russian and Syrian governments.

According to the latest information, Hashimera of Iraqi nationality died on October 14 last year.
