Whatsapp fans had to wait a long time for this function: the messenger service wants to introduce the option of writing notes at the end of 2022.

Around 93 percent of Germans use Whatsapp as a messenger, and at the beginning of this year there were around two billion users worldwide, as “messengerpeople.com” writes.

In Heilbronn and Baden-Württemberg, too, many people use the app to send text and voice messages as well as images, videos, links and files, or simply to make phone calls – with and without a picture.

Whatsapp is one of the most popular apps out there, but it also has some competitors like Threema or Telegram.

So it's no wonder that the top dog has to step up its game and keeps bringing new functions.

One of them ensures a bit of quality of life.

New Whatsapp feature: "Message yourself" to write notes

Sending messages to other people is not an issue, in fact it is the purpose of the app.

But if it has to be quick and you want to save a short note yourself, Whatsapp was only good in a roundabout way.

For example, you could use the wa.me link or create a chat for yourself using the group function.

It's easier now, because Whatsapp wants to release the "Message Yourself" function at the end of the year.

So people with iPhone or Android can use the Messenger app as a notebook.

Practical: The chat should also be able to be pinned right at the top, as “t3n.de” reports, referring to Techcrunch.

Not the only new function, because the companion mode for WhatsApp should also appear, as ruhr24.de explains.

The advantage is obvious, because the chat, or rather the notes, do not constantly slide down the course.

No detours, no tricks - it's a life hack that comes true on Whatsapp.

Whether the shopping list, a short reminder or the next date: Whatsapp serves as a small reminder with the "Message Yourself" function and thus takes a step towards user-friendliness.

New Whatsapp feature: the competition showed the way, Twitter was sometimes mocking

With a simple trick you can use the note function on Whatsapp even earlier.

However, the popular messenger is not a pioneer, because it is also possible to write notes without any problems with the competition.

The messenger "Slack" mostly used in the work environment has a permanent channel in which you can write things down.

Signal also has the “Note to Self” function.

Some users are also happy on Twitter.

For example, Schokoliesel writes: “I have opened a group with me for this.

We exchange ideas there.” This is no longer necessary, because WhatsApp’s “Message Yourself” function makes it easier to write notes.

Sahil writes humorously that up to now it has been a detour and users have been waiting for it: “WhatsApp introduces the “Message yourself” function.

User: We have been using the function for years.” User Mark Tsagaberg writes mockingly “Finally!” and thus expresses what many users are also thinking.
