(ANSA) - NEW YORK, DECEMBER 02 - The story of Amber Heard and Johnny Depp could end up in a courtroom again.
Months after Depp was sentenced to $10.4 million in a defamation lawsuit with his ex-wife, the actress seeks revenge by appealing the verdict and seeking a new trial.
The New York Times writes it.
According to legal documents from a Virginia court, Heard's attorney argues that the trial took place in the wrong state (Virginia) when it should be in California where both plaintiffs are residents.
The judge's decision to exclude some of the evidence, including psychologists' notes documenting alleged abuse, is also contested.
By virtue of these and other considerations, it is requested that the verdict be overturned either with a rejection of Depp's requests or with a new trial.
