A Hermes recipient received an ugly pre-Christmas gift from the delivery man in the mailbox.
He turns to Twitter for help.
Munich - Not every Christmas present is a hit.
Everyone has probably unpacked something under the tree that they didn't really know what to do with.
The unloved present is then accepted with thanks and later disappears in a drawer.
In extreme cases, it ends up in the trash.
But it's rather unusual for a gift to end up in the bin before it can even be wrapped.
A Twitter user recently shared a complaint that left him perplexed.
He had ordered a Christmas present to be delivered by the Hermes delivery service.

But it didn't get that far.
Apparently the courier did not find the recipient at home and left the package for him.
He also put a note in the mailbox so that the customer could find his order again.
But he miscalculated properly.
Because when the recipient came home in the evening, an unpleasant surprise awaited him.
Because the package was not hidden for him in the packing station or garage.
No, the Hermes messenger had probably chosen the paper bin as a safe place to keep it.
He had dutifully noted that on the delivery note.
It's just stupid that the paper bin was emptied by the municipality on that day of all days - including the gift.
Hermes: Christmas present ends up in the bin
This becomes clear from the garbage disposal plan that the angry Twitter user posts together with the delivery note.
He vents his anger: "Hermes, seriously?
You put the package in the waste paper bin?
We find the notification after our return in the evening of November 30th.
You can guess three times where the Christmas present is thanks to your delivery.
What now?” Good question.
The Twitterer will hardly get the package back.
Have it sent again?
Order again?
All not nice options.
Hermes probably thinks so too and responds in the comments: "Hi, of course that's not possible.
Please tell me the tracking number via DN.” One can only hope that the whole thing doesn't end in a Christmas drama and that the gift could be sent again.
A similar complaint was brought to light by a GLS customer who was annoyed on Twitter.
