An early fall, with few new faces.

1,942 babies were born every day in October, 10% fewer than in the same month in 2021 and 6% fewer than in 2020 (before the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic), data shows published this Thursday by INSEE.

It is even the lowest number for October since… 1994, indicates to the Parisian Isabelle Robert-Bobée, head of the division of surveys and demographic studies at INSEE.
