(ANSA) - MOSCOW, DEC 02 - The "Satanist" authorities of Kiev "have become open enemies of Christ and of the Orthodox faith".
This was stated in a post on Telegram by former Russian president Dmitry Medvedev, after the decree signed by President Volodymyr Zelensky to place restrictions on the Ukrainian Orthodox Church loyal to the Moscow Patriarchate, which has millions of faithful.
Medvedev, quoted by the RIA Novosti agency, also stigmatizes the searches carried out by the Ukrainian security services in many sacred places of the Church linked to Moscow.
"Believers are obliged" by the Ukrainian authorities to attend only churches deemed "correct", Medvedev says.
