What people like is often pure suffering for dogs.

Some four-legged friends can hardly breathe or can only sleep with their heads raised.

Other four-legged friends exhibit extreme wrinkling, in which inflammation spreads, and some breeds enchant people with a special coat pattern, which is ultimately based on a genetic defect and can cause deafness or blindness.

Of course, not all of these dogs suffer from health problems - namely when reputable breeders are aware of their responsibilities.

In general, you should only buy dogs from reputable breeders and avoid purported “bargains”.
