A patient at Kaplan Hospital complains that the institution put corona patients in two rooms where others are hospitalized - without separation, due to a lack of space in the ward.
The corona wards in the hospitals have already been closed a long time ago, and the patients are hospitalized in regular wards, also for the purpose of receiving more correct medical treatment.
However, the Ministry of Health instructs the hospitals to admit corona patients in a separate room with separate toilets, with the door of the room closed and when access to it is limited.
But in Kaplan, as in other hospitals, there is a shortage of hospital beds and separate rooms.
"They brought a patient into our room and said he was suffering from an infection," says the patient.
"After I asked a lot of questions about the infection, it turned out to me that it was a corona patient. They moved him to the next room, while the patients are not aware of it. These are people at risk with underlying diseases."
The corona patients were hospitalized in a closed balcony, which is adjacent to the room where three are hospitalized.
When a corona patient needs the shared bathroom, he must go through the room where the non-corona patients are hospitalized.
According to the patient, "There is no proper ventilation in this space, the door between the rooms is never closed, and no one tells the patients to put on masks. People are hospitalized there in serious condition, after surgery. How can they be hospitalized with corona patients in the same space?"
Kaplan Hospital responded: "Corona patients at the hospital are admitted according to the procedures of the Ministry of Health, and in accordance with the existing infrastructure.
These days, with the increase in morbidity, guidelines are being refreshed among the medical teams."
