The Rings of Power: Which cast members will be replaced in Season 2?

Adar actor Joseph Mawle is leaving the cast ahead of the second season of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, so his role has already been recast.

Other parts have also been assigned for the next trip to Middle-earth.

The Amazon Prime Video fantasy series The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power is filling out the cast for season two.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Sam Hazeldine ("Peaky Blinders") is joining the ensemble, replacing his colleague Joseph Mawle in the role of orc leader Adar.

Mawle tweeted: "I've loved the time I've spent exploring Middle-earth and Tolkien's mythology.

I'm very honored that the character was liked.

It was very important to him to tell you his story.

But as an actor, it remains my desire and my job description to explore new characters and worlds.

I wish the cast and crew of season two all the best and I'll be cheering you on from the sidelines."
