(ANSA) - ROME, DECEMBER 02 - Unknown people managed to enter the building in Rome where the Ukrainian ambassador to the Holy See, Andrii Yurash, resides, and covered the entrance door, stairs and walls with excrement.
An envelope containing animal eyes allegedly arrived at the Ukrainian consulate based in Naples.
"We don't know who physically committed the acts of vandalism but we can imagine who ordered all this", says the Ukrainian ambassador to the Holy See, Andrii Yurash.
When asked if suspicion falls on the Kremlin, the ambassador replied: "I think this, directly or indirectly", "it is a coordinated campaign and there are about ten similar episodes that have occurred in Europe".
"I think security measures will be raised", he adds, explaining that police intervention was immediately requested.
The episode occurred yesterday.
