(ANSA) - MOSCOW, DECEMBER 02 - Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has signed a decree placing restrictions on the activity of the country's Orthodox Church linked to the Moscow Patriarchate.
This was announced by Ukrinform.
Zelensky had announced the initiative yesterday evening, stating that he intended "to prevent religious organizations affiliated with centers of influence of the Russian Federation from operating in Ukraine".
The Ukrainian agency adds that the searches by the internal security services, Sbu, which began a few weeks ago, continued today in three churches.
