When the going gets tough, families tend to stick together.
This is apparently the case with pigeons, too, one man remarks surprisingly.
Many people are probably familiar with the saying “Blood is thicker than water”.
Basically, it says that the cohesion and the bond between relatives and family is particularly strong.
Especially when it comes to defending and protecting a family member.
As a video shows, this even seems to apply to pigeons, because "even birds fetch their cousins," as "pieceforyou" shows in a video on TikTok.

It was "hands that went too far," says one of the more than 3,000 comments on the clip, which shows the following.
A pigeon sits alone on a banister at a train station as someone with a camera approaches the animal.
A hand appears on the left of the picture and a man's voice sounds: "What's up?
Are you okay?” Barking protector has a baby magpie that was rescued.
But the man's hand comes much too close to the animal.
The dove lifts its wings and flutters into the air, but shortly thereafter settles down again on the banister.
What follows shocks the person filming.
Stunned sounds are heard, more like gasping.
Because suddenly the dove is no longer alone.

In fact, it seems as if the pigeons want to defend themselves and put the man to flight.
"Ok, ok chill boy," you can hear the man say as he feels more and more harassed by the animals.
Even when he reverses to avoid the animals, the pigeons persist and pursue him.
"Chill, chill," the man uttered in panic before the clip ended with a blurry image.
