(ANSA) - ROME, DEC 03 - According to the pro-reform news outlet IranWire, the family home of Iranian climber Elnaz Rekabi was demolished by government officials: the athlete had competed without wearing a headscarf in October at the Asian Championships of the International Federation of sport climbing in Seoul.
Cnn reports it.
Rekabi had entered the competition without a hijab just as anti-regime protests were spreading across Iran following the death of 22-year-old Mahsa Amini while she was in the custody of the morality police because she had not worn her headscarf properly.
