(ANSA) - PARIS, DEC 03 - President Emmanuel Macron today urged the French not to "panic" about the risk of electricity cuts this winter, stating that they could even be avoided if consumption were reduced by 10%, according to the plan presented by the government.
"Don't panic, it's useless," he told Tf1.
"If we all keep the sobriety plan presented by the government together, then yes, we will be able to get through this period, even with a cold December and January. It depends on us," he added.
