World cup of cooking, gold and silver to the Italian team

Another excellent result for the Italian National Chefs team, which at the just concluded World Cup final in Luxembourg, won the Gold medal in the Chef Table category and the Silver one in the Restaurant of Nations category (hot cooking). (HANDLE)


Another excellent result for the Italian National Chefs team, which at the just concluded World Cup final in Luxembourg, won the Gold medal in the Chef Table category and the Silver one in the Restaurant of Nations category (hot cooking).



Italy entered the cooking competition with a very fierce team, led by the General Manager Gianluca Tomasi and made up of Pierluca Ardito (Team Manager), the kitchen managers Angelo Biscotti and Fabio Mancuso, the pastry chef Antonio Dell'Oro and Marco Tomasi, Francesco Locorotondo, Francesco Cinquepalmi, Keoma Franceschi, Luca Bnà and Giorgia Ceccato.

Another important result, after the Gold Medal in the Senior category won last May in the Global Chef Challenge in Abu Dhabi.

"We are very satisfied with this new Gold medal - commented the General Manager Gianluca Tomasi - won in a very particular category such as that of the Chef Table, a medal that was missing in the palmares of the Italian National Chefs. For the competition, we chose a theme ,

that of the Sound of the Italian Taste, for which we developed a particular guitar-shaped tray, in which we served the festive dish, which featured the sea bass from the Adriatic.

Our program also included four finger foods, with which we were able to enhance the typical Italian dishes, from mushrooms with truffles, to cod, to the small cuttlefish from the lagoon, then the festive dish, followed by a vegan starter which enhanced products such as radicchio red of Treviso, then the main course, the main dish of meat, followed by a trilogy of petit fours, small pastry mignons with decorations that recalled musical notes and which met with great acclaim from the jury, through which we valued Sorrento lemon and Piedmont hazelnuts".



"Our Nazionale Cuochi has shown that it can compete at the highest world levels and the prestigious awards won this year prove it. Today, once again, our boys have made us deeply proud" said the President of the Italian Chefs Federation Rocco Pozzulo, who added: "International competitions are important both from a professional point of view and because they give us the opportunity to make the many excellences of our extraordinary Made in Italy known throughout the world". 



Lollobrigida, Italian cuisine is confirmed at the highest world levels

Thus the Minister of Agriculture and Food Sovereignty, Francesco Lollobrigida, commented on his twitter profile the victory of the Italian National Chefs team, which yesterday at the final of the World Cup in Luxembourg, won the Gold medal in the Chef Table category and the Silver one in the Restaurant of Nations category (hot cuisine).



Santanchè, our chefs maximum expression of Made in Italy


The Minister of Tourism Daniela Santanchè also comments on the victory of the Italian National Chefs on twitter: "A gold and silver that testify, once again, that we are the best in the world! Our cuisine, our chefs, are the maximum expression of Made in Italy: an important showcase for the Belpaese. Congratulations to the Italian national cooks team!".
