Discounted apartment program continues:
The Ministry of Construction and Housing and the Israel Lands Authority announced today their intention to launch the fourth discounted apartment lottery in which more than 7,000 apartments will be raffled to the public in several cities and towns throughout the country.
Registration for the lottery will open for those eligible on Wednesday, December 28 and will close approximately two weeks later, on January 9, 2023. Currently, some of the settlements participating in the lottery are: Jerusalem, Sderot, Ashdod, Kadima Zoran, Yehud Monson, Karmiel, Emmanuel, Ramla, Haifa and more .
The Ministry of Construction and Housing stated that the current list is not final, and can change until the publication of the final list next to the lottery.
Those eligible to register for the upcoming lottery, similar to the previous one, are all homeless people with a valid eligibility certificate.
Eligible persons may register for three cities, and for all the lotteries in these cities.
It will also be emphasized that the date of registration for the lottery, which will be open to the eligible public for eight days, is not important.
In addition, it should be noted that the issuance of the eligibility certificate will be open until Sunday 1.1.2023 - after that, it will not be possible to issue certificates until the registration for the lottery is closed.
Next year: 45 thousand apartments at a discount
Minister of Construction and Housing, Ze'ev Elkin:
"After a two-year hiatus, we have brought back the lotteries of the Ministry of Construction and Housing, and during this year, almost 30,000 families will be able to buy an apartment at a significant discount at the state's expense. Next year, following the plans launched in recent months, the Ministry of Construction and Housing will be able to produce Another 45,000 apartments at a discount, this is assuming that the new Minister of Construction and Housing will not stop this. In fact, in the years 22-23, about 75,000 young couples out of a total of about 120,000 who participate in the lotteries will get the ability to buy an apartment at a discount."
Director General of the Ministry of Construction and Housing, Aviad Friedman:
"Ahead of the upcoming new civil year, over 7,000 additional households will have the opportunity to purchase an apartment at a significant discount, and start 2023 on the right foot. The lottery is a direct continuation of all the steps and moves that the ministry has promoted in recent times on the way to breaking records in construction starts and the number of sales for the second year in a row. We We are working around the clock in order to respond to the demands and I am asking all citizens who meet the eligibility rules, please do not wait for the last minute, advance and issue the eligibility certificates so that you can register in time for the lottery."
Director General of the Israel Land Authority, Yankee Quint:
"The Israel Land Authority works day and night to expand the supply of land for housing.
Most of the housing units are routed in favor of a "discounted apartment" in order to allow as many young people and families who do not own an apartment in Israel to succeed in fulfilling their dream of owning an apartment.
We will continue to produce quality housing solutions for the benefit of the entire Israeli public."
