(ANSA) - ROME, DECEMBER 04 - There are "many shadows" that "shroud the tragic end of Denis Bergamini", writes the Cassation in a verdict on the cold case of the death of the Ferrara midfielder from Cosenza in 1989 - the first instance trial is underway to the footballer's ex-girlfriend, Isabella Internò, accused of voluntary homicide - but the supreme judges point out that the request to dismiss the case, passed off as a suicide, made in 2015 by the Pg Franco Giacomantonio who headed the Castrovillari prosecutor's office, "was not a superficial decision or, worse, deviated from some bias" but had "ample reason", considering also the past tense.
The next hearing before the Corte di Assise of Cosenza is scheduled for December 13, according to the
accuses Internò of resentment towards Bergamini who wanted to end the relationship.
