27-year-old Dua Lipa

attended the "Variety's 2022 Hitmakers" brunch sponsored by Variety magazine last Saturday (3/12), and literally rocked it when she arrived topless under an oversized gray pin-striped blazer suit.

The British pop star also won the coveted "Creator of the Year" award at the event, for her joint performance with Elton John, the legendary creator and singer (still alive) with the hit "Cold Heart" they performed together.

Mingling is the whole story.

The best artists and stars in the American music industry appeared on the red carpet in Los Angeles.

While Selena Gomez wore a (too) solid black sleeveless midi dress designed by Toteme, trans pop star Kim Peters went for a bare (and not tasteful) messy look styled by Nicola Formichetti (known for her work with the iconic Lady Gaga), while the kick-ass musician HER (isn't she Gabriela Wilson) wore a stunning block - a blue velvet suit with embroidery by Cushnie from the Fall-Winter 2019 collection. But with all due respect, there's no doubt that Dua Lipa has buried them all.

Especially for the reason that she didn't choose to come to the event in a glam evening dress, which would have been the "safe" choice, but went for an edgy look befitting a pop star who doesn't always follow the dry rules.

Underneath the oversized gray blazer with white pinstripes, extreme shoulder pads and a single pleat, the (3-time) Grammy winner wore, well - nothing.

The fine suit, from the Resort 2023 collection, designed in a truly oversized silhouette, and not just a little loose and flattering as we are used to seeing, is the responsibility of the Italian fashion house "De Attico", headed by two young designers and fashionistas from Milan, Gilda Ambrosio and Giorgia Tordini .

The two share a fondness for glam combined with a cheeky and edgy attitude, seasoned with bold colors and sophisticated sexy cuts.

An oversized and edgy silhouette as usual, but still super sexy.

Close stylist

who is also responsible for the styling of Lipa and Elton John on the latest cover of Variety magazine, chose to load two statement necklaces around the neck of the British pop star - a dramatic gourmet choker designed by the Rainbow K jewelry line, which teamed with the coveted lock chain of Givenchy.

Her luscious dark hair was left loose in a natural a la look, with a cheeky part way down the middle, and the makeup was left soft, which is exactly what this look needed.

To close the silly performance, Lipa wore trendy dark sunglasses (which it seems she only took off when she went on stage to accept the award), and black chunky shoes.

Elton John was indeed absent from the event, but Lipa made sure to praise the music legend and thank him in her speech when she went up to accept Variety magazine's "Female Artist of the Year" award.

"I feel very lucky to have been able to do what I do," she concluded to applause from the glittering crowd that included the luminaries of the American music industry.

And we mostly cheer her for the crazy performance.
