(ANSA) - TEHRAN, DECEMBER 04 - The Iranian authorities have abolished the institution of the moral police.
This was announced by the Attorney General Mohammad Jafar Montazeri, as reported today by the Isna news agency.
"The moral police has nothing to do with the judiciary, and it was abolished by whoever created it," he said in the holy city of Qom.
