In Sicily, however, a 67-year-old man, Biagio Cocchiaro, driving an SUV, was traveling along the Sp51 Gela-Scoglitti road when he crashed a van head-on and died instantly.
In Friuli, the driver of a car was found lifeless after the vehicle he was traveling on ended its run in a canal in the early afternoon in Monfalcone (Gorizia).

In Nembro, in the province of Bergamo, a Volkswagen Golf carrying four young people went off the road at a bend and overturned in a ditch.
One of the four, Manuel Rota Graziosi, 22, didn't make it, the others were injured.
During the night, another 30-year-old woman died and two other people were injured in Milan, in via Melchiorre Gioia, not far from the central station.
Then an eighteen year old in Sondrio: he was in the car with two peers and they were going to school, he died, his friends were hospitalized in serious condition.
And again, a 47-year-old died yesterday around noon, crashing into the guardrail on the Milan ring road.

, a young promise from Padova Calcio mowed down on a bicycle on via Pomposa, by a motorist who turned himself in three hours later.
Another 47-year-old died driving a van in Saccologno, in the Padua area, and a 46-year-old motorcyclist in Scicli, in the Ragusa area, hitting a light pole around 3 pm on 2 December.
