The inferences about Apple's viewers for the metaverse continue.

After the information according to which the company would have renamed the operating system at the base of virtual and augmented reality, now XrOs, the development of the software would be slowing down the mass launch of the device.

According to comments by analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, an Apple expert, from the first half of next year the launch of the viewer would have been moved to the second, probably in the autumn, coinciding with the launch of the new iPhones.

In reality, the Cupertino company could still make the accessory available in the first half of 2023 but in a more limited number of units.

As Ming-Chi Kuo explains: "Due to software-related problems, shipments will not be, at least initially, at the expected volume."

Kuo had previously reported that the iPhone maker plans to ship at least 1.5 million headsets by 2023, at a target price of $2,000 each.

In August, the analyst confirmed a launch event next January, after the go-ahead obtained by the giant's board of directors.

However, the delay expected by Kuo raises a big question about an actual presentation in a month, which would give too much time between the announcement and the availability of the device.

A second launch window for the headset would be June, when Apple typically holds its Worldwide Developer Conference,

Wwdc appointment dedicated to developers.
