Up until now, anyone earning something in addition to early retirement had to comply with the additional earnings limit in order not to risk a pension cut.
The Bundestag has now abolished this.
Many pensioners can sing a song about the fact that money is not enough in old age.
So it is not surprising that some of them, despite retiring from working life, are still earning something extra for their pension with a part-time job.
Either to maintain the standard of living, or to make ends meet and to avoid the threat of poverty in old age – close the pension gap in good time.
Women in West Germany, for example, receive an average pension of just 800 euros.

Bundestag decides: In the future, early retirement will no longer be reduced if you have a part-time job
Up to now, anyone who has taken early retirement and is still working alongside their well-deserved retirement has had to comply with the additional income limit.
But that is exactly what the Bundestag has now abolished.
In the future, early retirees and pensioners should be able to earn as much as they want without their pension being reduced, as the
Tagesschau
reports.

The situation is a little different for people who receive a disability pension.
According to the
Tagesschau
report , however, the Bundestag has decided to increase the additional earnings limit for the disability pension.
Previously, recipients were not allowed to earn more than EUR 6,300 a year, so that the disability pension was not reduced.
In individual cases, additional income limits of up to 34,500 euros per year should now be possible.

Working despite early retirement: part-time job must be reported to the pension insurance
The
Deutsche Rentenversicherung
points out on its website that early retirees who have a part-time job must report this to the Deutsche Rentenversicherung.
For example, if you start a part-time job in July, you must inform the pension insurance in writing in advance that and how much you are likely to earn from July to December.
On July 1 of the following year, you inform the pension insurance company of how much you have actually earned
