(ANSA) - ROME, DECEMBER 05 - The Nas carabinieri have found irregularities in 165 job positions during checks carried out since mid-November in hospitals and nursing homes throughout Italy.
Structures which, explain the military, "are increasingly resorting to tender contracts to make use of health professionals - doctors, nurses and health workers - supplied by external companies, usually attributable to cooperatives".
The checks concerned 1,934 healthcare facilities, with the monitoring of 637 companies/private cooperatives and the verification of over 11,600 figures including doctors (13%), nurses (25%) and other healthcare professions (62%).
