But, since the cathedral fire in April 2019 and the irreversible damage they had suffered, children and young adults in the choir had to do without.
A parenthesis that is only a memory.
Last December 1, during the evening service in Saint-Germain l'Auxerrois, the singers finally found their characteristic blue albs.
“Before the fire, newcomers to the children's choir did their dawn recording every year.
This year, the whole choir did it again.
Some were in tears during the procession”
, concedes Henri Chalet, the artistic director of the mastery.
