(ANSA) - ROME, DECEMBER 05 - A Russian raid hit residential buildings in Novosofiivka, killing two people and injuring two others.
This was reported by the governor of the Zaporizhzhia region, Oleksandr Starukh, quoted by Kyiv Independent.
According to Kyiv air force spokesman Yurii Ihnat, the barrage of missiles launched by Russia on several locations in Ukraine aims to "overwhelm the Ukrainian air defense in preparation for further attacks on critical infrastructure later in the day".
Explosions were also heard in the west and south of the country, according to local media, particularly in the Lviv, Ternopil, Khmelnytskyi and Kryvyy Rih oblasts.
