'Towards a new Italy' is the title chosen for the event organized by Fortune Italia in collaboration with the “Living in the Community” School of Politics.
The inauguration of the new edition of the initiative was held in Rome, at Palazzo Pallavicini Rospigliosi, with a lectio magistralis by Professor
Bernardo Giorgio Mattarella
entitled "The formation of public management".
This year, the event hosted the
Business Person of the Year award ceremony for Luigi Ferraris, CEO of Ferrovie dello Stato
and member of the Supervisory Board of the School of Politics.
Maria Bianca Farina, president of Poste Italiane and Luca Dal Fabbro, president of IREN,
took part together with Luigi Ferraris ,
who spoke with the young people present on the importance of training courses for our ruling class and on the future scenarios of the world of work .
The event saw the participation of teachers, members of the board and participants in the course of study chosen on over 1500 requests received by the organizers over the three editions.
Luigi Ferraris during his speech, in addition to presenting the growing role of Ferrovie dello Stato for the country system, underlined the results achieved this year and the
recruitment plan of the FS Group which provides for 40,000 new entries over the next 10 years.
"I am proud to receive this recognition which I share with the entire FS Group and which comes to the end of an intense year characterized by important results achieved - said Luigi Ferraris - We have presented the
190 billion 10-year Business Plan
which aims, among other things, to make collective mobility and logistics two drivers of sustainable development of the country;
to increase the capacity of the railway infrastructure by at least 20%, so as to be able to increase the supply of trains;
to improve the integration between rail and road and to technologically modernize vehicles and infrastructures also thanks to digitization and connectivity.
To achieve these objectives, together with the expertise and passion of our more than 80,000 colleagues, we have redefined the governance of the Group by associating our companies by common professions and missions in four distinct business poles: Infrastructures, Passengers, Logistics and Urban".
The training initiative, free for students thanks to the support of the companies involved including
Intesa Sanpaolo, Generali, Cassa Depositi e Prestiti, A2A and Istituto per il Credito Sportivo,
thus intends to further strengthen the preparation and skills of the participants, contributing to the training of new leaders and of a future prepared managerial class who perceive the responsibility of being "civil servants".
On this issue
, Marcello Presicci, secretary general of the Political School
, stated that "in an extremely delicate and complex phase such as the current one, it is necessary to contribute to the creation of moments of dialogue, meeting and reflection with great personalities of our country such as, for example, the members of our board.
These moments are useful and strategic for stimulating the civil passion of young people and concretely helping them in their growth path.
Places prone to training must therefore return to being central to help the country find its best energies.
It is only from here that we can start again”.
