Word of Olympian Armand Duplantis after receiving the 2022 Athlete of the Year trophy from World Athletics.
The Swedish Olympic champion in Tokyo 2020 and world champion in Oregon 2022 holds the world record in the pole vault with a measure of 6.21m.
"It's something incredible to win this trophy - added Duplantis - This year I just wanted to be the best pole vaulter in the world, but to be the best at everything in my sport is really something incredible."
When asked about his ambitions for 2023 with the World Cup in Budapest in particular scheduled, Duplantis set no limits: "My goal is to go higher and higher and for as long as possible.
