(ANSA) - PISA, 06 DEC - The bridge that connects the districts of San Marco and Sant'Ermete, on the southeastern outskirts of Pisa and which passes over the railway line, was closed last night as a precaution to pedestrian and vehicular transit after an inspection by firefighters intervened at the request of a citizen after midnight.
This was announced by the firefighters themselves, specifying that "there was no damage to people and, in fact, there was no rescue activity".
The intervention took place at the flyover called Sant'Ermete Ovest.
The firefighters explain that it has been "detected that one of the access ramps to the bridge is slightly misaligned and, for this reason, the problem has been reported to the relevant authorities".
"At the moment - they conclude - the management should be of the Municipality of Pisa which will be verifying the state of maintenance".
However, as a precaution, the infrastructure was immediately closed and banned from traffic.
