An earthquake has shaken the Indonesian islands of Java and Bali.
The National Agency for Geophysics put the magnitude of the earthquake on Tuesday at 6.2.
So far there have been no reports of deaths or major damage.
The earthquake and tsunami center of the government said the tremors were particularly strong at noon (local time) around the Kuta region in Bali, which is popular with tourists, and in the city of Jember in eastern Java.
There was no tsunami warning.
According to the information, the epicenter was at sea around 280 kilometers southwest of Jember.
Just two weeks ago, a 5.6 magnitude earthquake struck Java, killing more than 320 people.
Around 62,000 houses around the town of Cianjur, southeast of the capital Jakarta, were destroyed.
However, the epicenter of the quake was on land, so the damage was correspondingly large.
The Southeast Asian island nation of Indonesia lies on the Pacific Ring of Fire, the most geologically active zone on earth.
Earthquakes and volcanic eruptions are common there.
