(ANSA) - KIEV, DEC 06 - Ukrainian President Volodynyr Zelensky visited Donbass today, going close to the front line, according to official sources.
Zelensky visited Sloviansk, in the Donetsk region of Ukraine, about 40 kilometers from Bakhmut, the main battlefield in the region: he declared the presidency on social media.
In a video of Zelensky shot in front of the city entrance, the head of state greeted his country's military "from the bottom of his heart" on the occasion of Armed Forces Day, which is celebrated today.
In his video message last night, the Ukrainian president announced that yesterday's Russian attacks in the country caused at least four deaths.
