June 2 is the date chosen for next year's Golden Gala in Rome.
This was announced by 'World Athletics' which today announced the Wanda Diamond League 2023 calendar. It will begin on May 5 in Doha, in the facility where the 2019 World Cup was held and then touch African soil in Rabat, while the first the event in Europe will be held in Rome, followed by Paris (June 9) and Oslo (June 15).
The Diamond League finals (September 16 and 17) for the first time will not take place in Europe, in Zurich or Brussels, but on the occasion of the Prefontaine Classic in Eugene, a town in Oregon which hosted the World Cup this year.
