Two suburban trains collided near Barcelona.
At least 150 passengers were injured in the collision.
Three people were taken to a hospital, civil defense said on Twitter.
However, the majority of the passengers escaped with minor injuries, as the Spanish newspaper La Vanguardia reports.
Civil defense wrote that most people suffered bruises on their arms and legs in the collision.
The cause of the accident, which occurred at the Montcada i Reixac station, was initially unknown.
However, there is always criticism that too little is being invested in the railway system.
Trains come too late or not at all and there are always minor accidents.
