Urine scale in toilets and urinals not only looks ugly.
The dirt can also cause unpleasant odors over time.
Five home remedies help.
The yellowish-brown deposits of urine scale always form when old dirt combines with lime from the water in the cistern.
They become very firm and stubborn - just as hard as "stone".
Hardly anything can be done against urine scale with conventional cleaning agents.
Before you resort to chemical cleaning agents, you should definitely try these home remedies.

Remove urine scale with baking soda and vinegar
Vinegar is a natural acid and is considered a proven limescale remover in the home.
Simply pour half a bottle of vinegar essence onto the brown dirt in the toilet and leave it to work overnight.
Now the urine stone should be able to be removed with the toilet brush.
For more stubborn deposits, (as before) spread 1/2 bottle of vinegar essence in the toilet bowl and then sprinkle 3-4 tablespoons of baking soda on top.
Clean the toilet again the next morning – done!
Citric acid removes lime and deposits
Citric acid is also effective against limescale and thus also against urine scale: Put three to four tablespoons of pure citric acid in the toilet in the evening and leave it on overnight.
Brush and rinse the toilet bowl again in the morning.

cola and baking powder
Cola is a real insider tip in the household, be it to remove rust or to clean the drain.
Together with baking powder, the drink also dissolves limescale and urine scale in no time:
First pour two to three packets of baking soda down the toilet.
Then pour a quarter liter of cola over it - now the mixture starts to bubble vigorously.
Leave it on for several hours or overnight.
Then scrub the toilet again with the toilet brush - done.

If you have a dishwasher in your household, you can also use this miracle cure: simply place two dishwasher tabs in the sink, leave them to work for several hours and enjoy a sparkling clean toilet.
Alternatively, you can also dissolve the tabs in a cup of water and distribute them in the toilet.

denture cleaner
Denture cleaners are another tried-and-tested home remedy for urine scale: Put two tabs in the toilet and leave them on overnight.
Prevent urine scale
So that urine scale doesn't form in the first place and you have to laboriously remove the brown deposits, you should clean the toilet regularly - right down to the edge - and decalcify the cistern every now and then.
By the way, a bottle in the cistern helps to save water.
