An Amazon driver in the US just wants to get his job done.

But a chicken plays a trick on him.

As a parcel deliverer, you have certainly experienced a lot at your front door.

A free-roaming chicken should be part of it in the rarest of cases.

In the United States, a driver was thrown by a domestic chicken when delivering an Amazon delivery in the small town of Minooka, Illinois, according to the US television station

When the driver opened a garage door to deliver a package, he was greeted by the feathered friend.

The scene is immortalized in a video.

The dilemma: The delivery driver actually just wants to do his job - but the chicken he encounters is not stupid and tries to escape through the open gate.

The deliverer, who seems to feel responsible for the animal, wants to avoid this, which means that the man keeps running after the chicken that has escaped from the open cage in order to guide it inside.

The scene captured in the video with the helpless driver and the chicken causes a lot of smiles on Instagram.

The driver's desperation can really be seen, as he starts talking to the strange animal and tries to appease it with the words "Be good," for example.

"I'm sorry, little guy," the Amazon driver apologizes politely to the animal and is glad that the garage door closes again in the end and he can escape from the situation himself.
