The designated stadium, which will be built "on According to the highest international standards", it is expected to contain about 20,000 seats, modern facilities and advanced technologies, and will be an integral part of the new sports complex in the city, which will include an Olympic pool, an arena with 5,000 seats as well as other fields and training halls, some of which have already been built.

According to the terms of the tender, the contractor undertakes to finish the works within 36 months, and they are expected to start already in the coming months.

The new stadium, which will be one of the most advanced facilities in Israel, will replace the old football stadium in District 1 of Ashdod, the 11th Stadium, which bears the memory of the 11th Munich martyrs.
