Today (12/8) marks the world's "Pretend Time Travel Day," as part of an annual event created in 2007 by the online community Koala Wallop.
On this day, when everyone is invited not to take themselves too seriously, revelers pretend to travel through time (to the past or the future), while taking part in events that combine elements of art, performances, humor and pure pan.
But as far as we're concerned, if you're going to play the game then make it fashionable!
Over the past decades, the international stars have graced us with quite a number of breathtaking or groundbreaking performances for that time, but in honor of "Pretend Time Travel Day" we searched for the most iconic dresses, of all time, worn by legendary women in their own right, some of which by the way even returned The locks a few decades later!
It is unequivocally 9 Shahada dresses and we were prepared to make a long journey back in time for them, because these are performances that maintain eternal relevance and will be recorded in the pages of fashion history.
It is not surprising that next to (or behind) the most wonderful dresses ever seen, there are also quite a few scandals.
It is also interesting that, three of the dresses that entered the list of temporary looks of Walla!

The dress that opens the list is a masterpiece worn by Marilyn Monroe in 1962 - designed especially for the legendary star by costume designer Jean Louis, inspired by a sketch by Bob Mackie, and worth an estimated five million dollars (!) The dress is remembered mainly thanks to the iconic performance Monroe's, but also controversial, song "Happy birthday Mr.
president" that she dedicated to President John F. Kennedy at an event held in his honor. Indeed, this is the same beautiful and delicate dress, 60 years old, that Kim Kardashian was accused of causing quite a bit of damage to, after, as I remember last May, she slipped into it (quite forcefully, it turns out) in honor of an event Hemat Gala.

One of the most memorable appearances throughout history, and as one of the biggest and boldest fashion statements made, is Lady Day's "revenge dress" - the same off-the-shoulder cocktail dress the late princess wore in the summer of 1994, after her estranged husband, Prince Charles, confessed on national television that he was unfaithful to her .
The stunning dress, designed by the Greek fashion designer Christina Stambolian, is also remembered (and perhaps mainly) for the precise styling: black tights, stilettos, and the spectacular pearl choker.

The year was 2001 and the two biggest pop icons in the world, Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake, decided to consolidate their power-couple status when they arrived coordinated in total look jeans to the American Music Awards ceremony.
Spears wore a multi-wash denim patchwork dress designed by Kurt and Bart, to which she added a matching denim bag.

Rihanna stunned (literally) in 2014 when she chose to attend the CFDA ceremony in a completely transparent dress.
She left those present speechless, especially in light of the fact that the same evening the eternal Hit Girl also won the Style Icon award.
The sparkling and bold dress, designed especially for her by designer Adam Salman, was decorated with no less than 216,000 Swarovski crystals.
During her speech, the beautiful artist said that "fashion shouldn't be frustrating, it should be fun" - we're totally in favor, and if there's anyone who can pull this off, it's Rihanna!

While the disturbing campaign of the Balenciaga fashion house refuses to leave the headlines, and rightfully so, we couldn't help but close our list of iconic dresses with the futuristic-bizarre-thought-provoking look that Kim Kardashian wore to the 2021 Met Gala.
Anna Wintour's guests responded to the theme "America: Lexicon of Fashion" and did not disappoint, but the main Kardashian surpassed them all, when she wore a black cover from head to toe (including) designed by Balenciaga, a kind of burqa in its sexy version if you will.
Although the look completely obscured the face of the entrepreneur and reality star, her famous silhouette could not be missed, even under the "mysterious anonymous" cover she chose to wear, which in itself is a super strong statement.
