(ANSA) - ROME, DECEMBER 08 - The situation with the distribution of electricity in Ukraine is complicated by weather conditions: especially in many western regions, frost, rain with snow and strong gusts of wind are causing the formation of ice and the damage to electrical cables.
The operator Ukrenergo communicates this on Twitter, explaining that there is "a significant lack of electricity in the system and emergency blackouts are underway in several regions in the morning".
The most difficult situation remains in the eastern regions hit by massive artillery fire from the Russians, writes Ukrenergo.
