The judiciary of the Islamic Republic has announced that Mohsen Shekar, arrested during the protests, has been executed

: it is the first death sentence carried out for a protester, as reported by the BBC Persia.

Shekari was charged with blocking a road, rioting, drawing a weapon with intent to kill, and intentionally wounding an officer while on duty.

The judiciary said the hearing was held on Nov. 10 and the defendant confessed to the allegations against him.

"Mohsen's execution must meet with a strong reaction otherwise we run the risk of having protesters executed every day, this execution must quickly lead to practical consequences on an international level."

This is the appeal launched by Mahmood Amiry-Moghaddam, director of the Oslo-based NGO 'Iran Human Rights',

after the judiciary of the Islamic Republic announced that the first death sentence was carried out for one of the people arrested during the demonstrations underway for almost three months in the country

La Stampa today published an open letter from Badri Hossein Khamenei, sister of the Supreme Guide of the Islamic Republic, Ali Khamenei, in which she declared that "the Iranian people deserve freedom and prosperity, and their revolt is legitimate and necessary to realize their rights" .

"I hope to soon see the victory of the people and the overthrow of this tyranny that rules Iran. May the people's just struggle to achieve freedom and democracy be realized as soon as possible", she adds in the text.

"In the name of God - writes Khamenei - Losing a child and being away from your child is a great sadness for every mother. Many mothers have

been in mourning over the past four decades. I think it is appropriate now to declare that I oppose the actions of my brother and I express my sympathy to all the mothers who mourn the crimes of the Islamic Republic regime, from the time of Khomeini to the current era of Ali Khamenei's despotic caliphate."

The Iranian leader's sister recounts in the letter: "Our family's opposition and struggle against this criminal system began a few months after the revolution.

The crimes of this system, the suppression of any dissenting voice, the imprisonment of the most educated and inspired young people on this earth, the severest punishments and large-scale executions began right away."

"Like all Iranian bereaved mothers - she underlines -, I am also sad that I am far from my daughter. When they arrest my daughter with violence, it is clear that they apply thousands of times more violence to other oppressed boys and girls who are subjected to inhuman cruelty.
