Retired TV presenter Maayan Adam, all she wanted to do was promote beauty products as part of a commercial collaboration on Instagram, and without intending to, she managed to get into trouble with beauticians across the country, who did not like what she said.
Adam uploaded a fairly routine series of stories yesterday (Wednesday), in which she once again offered her followers care products that she has been promoting for a long time.
In the video she recorded, a person spoke in praise of the soaps, adding "I'm really surprised at those who haven't tried it. I'm sure you burn thousands of shekels on beauticians."
The words of the anchor of the network, whose account on Instagram boasts more than a quarter of a million followers, also reached the ears of facial skin care experts, who found Adam's things to be detrimental to their livelihood.
"I realized that beauticians were hurt by this text," Adam wrote today (Thursday) in response to messages she apparently received privately.
"I don't want to take away anyone's livelihood, but I won't keep a secret something that, for me, changes lives," she emphasized.
At the end of the long post, Adam apologized for defining the treatments as a waste of money.
"Good morning. I understood that beauticians were hurt by this text, and although I stand behind the things, this was not my intention," she clarified.
"For years I was with beauticians, professional women who studied and were trained, and their contribution to facial skin and self-confidence is known to everyone," she added.
"I have one of my own, and she will testify herself that since I started using the care products, I just don't come to her anymore," she shared.
"I don't want to take anyone's livelihood, God forbid, but I won't keep secret something that for me is life-changing," she continued.
"The phrase throwing money away comes to illustrate that you can save on pills and treatments, but I take it back. Cosmetology is never about throwing money away," she expressed regret.
"I apologize to those who felt that I was harming their livelihood," she signed.
Adam got up in a collaborative mood, and the morning brought up another issue for Stori that managed to drive sleep from her eyes.
"I don't know if I woke up broken, or if it's the hormones, but all my Instagram is comments about not making sausages for a girl, not baking with foil, not saying like that, not doing like that," she shared the comments she receives as pregnant from surfers.
"I'm sure it's all well-intentioned, but imagine that there are a lot of people constantly telling you how to talk and how to behave and lingering over what you prepared to eat, and if it's healthy. It's a blast," she said angrily.
