(ANSA) - MILAN, 08 DEC - Almost one and a half million spectators watched Boris Godunov on TV last night, the opera that inaugurated the opera season at La Scala.
From 6pm to 9.30pm there were 1,495,000 viewers tuned into Rai 1 with a 9.1% share.
This is the lowest figure in recent years, far from Tosca's record of 2 million 856 thousand spectators, but still positive considering that Musorgsky's masterpiece is decidedly less known and is sung in Russian.
Waiting for Boris Godunov, between 17:45 and 18, before the start of the opera, had 1 million 870 thousand spectators and a share of 17.45%.
