The world of the small screen is in shock.

Producer Franck Saurat, founder of Carson Prod and aged 55, died suddenly on the night of December 7 to 8.

The television man died "following a cardiac arrest in a Parisian hospital", informed us Yossef Balti, associate producer within this company.

A great friend of Jean-Luc Delarue, Franck Saurat founded the production company Carson Prod with him in 2001. Together, they launched a number of evening entertainment programs, including “Stars à domicile” with Flavie Flament for TF1.

In total, more than fifty are initiated, all around humor and variety.

Franck Saurat is thus at the helm of “la Fête de la musique” for France 2 between 2002 and 2009, charity programs for associations, “+ de vie”, Laurette Fugain or even Sidaction.

The two men will remain close until the death of the facilitator, in August 2012.

A tribute from public service channels

The producer could also count on privileged links with several emblematic personalities, and more particularly Celine Dion.

Close to the Quebec star, he has made several programs around the singer.

In particular "Le Grand Show" hosted by Michel Drucker, for the singer's return to France in 2012, or "Céline Dion, my life without René", evening event of M6 after the disappearance of the husband and manager of the artist in 2016.

Since 2012, Franck Saurat had also teamed up with host Jean-Marc Morandini to create the magazine "Crimes" and its daily version on NRJ 12. Both have multiplied projects for the channel, with multiple formats such “Emergencies”, “Reunion” or even “Heritages”.

It is also to this connoisseur that we owe the "Victoires de la musique" on France 2 since 2020, the successes of "I Love You Coiffure" with Muriel Robin and "Ils s'aiment... finally almost" for TF1 or "Welcome to the Bodin's" on M6.

Several of his shows, planned before his disappearance, will be broadcast in the coming days.

Starting with the "300 choirs" of France 3 this Friday at 9:10 p.m. on the "most beautiful songs from musicals", before a second part for the Christmas holidays, presented by Vincent Niclo, on December 23.

An "important tribute" will be paid to him by the public service channels.

For its part, M6 must offer a new number of “Grand restaurant” by Pierre Palmade on December 15.
