(ANSA) - BRUSSELS, DECEMBER 08 - With the 110% bonus, Italy has become one of the four most promising EU countries for the development of the domestic battery-powered solar market.
These are the conclusions of a study carried out by SolarPower Europe, an association of the photovoltaic sector.
Over one million houses in Europe are powered by photovoltaic systems with batteries, Germany is the EU country with the greatest diffusion of these systems, followed by Italy, Austria, the United Kingdom and Switzerland.
In 2022, the analysis indicates, the total capacity of residential PV with storage systems in Europe is expected to "reach 9.3 GWh and supply energy to over 1 million households".
In Italy, the market in this photovoltaic segment was initially slow, according to the report, but since 2018 it has seen a turning point.
In second place in the ranking of European home storage markets, "Italy was certainly the biggest surprise of 2021" reads the report.
"The Italian market has skyrocketed to 321 MWh installed per year, up 240% compared to 2020, thanks to the very advantageous conditions of its Superbonus 110% incentive system".
