The sensitive narrative and the delicate colors chosen by the author and illustrator Alix Garin show a lot of empathy.
The book reads with mixed feelings.
It's a bit reminiscent of the film "Honig im Kopf" with Dieter Hallervorden.

Ninety-year-old Marie-Louise has Alzheimer's.
After a daring attempt to escape from the nursing home, her daughter decides that she needs strong medication to sedate her.
However, Marie-Louise's granddaughter Clémence cannot accept this drastic step, this life in a chemical straitjacket, and decides to kidnap her grandmother.
Together they set off in search of the house from Marie-Louise's childhood - an escape, a distraction and maybe a way back to life.
Or is it more of a farewell?

Alix Garin "Don't forget me": My conclusion
The visual language in this graphic novel is so powerful in some places that it does not require any language.
The small flashbacks show a long way within the family and stimulate reflection.
Suitable for all those who are already dealing with dementia and Alzheimer's or want to deal with it.
